Home videotape  memories are irreplaceable but are sadly deteriorating drastically. The average life of a VHS tape is about 25-30 years under proper storage conditions.  And smaller tapes have an even shorter life, with many degrading after just 10-12 years.  After that, your memories are gone forever. If you want to preserve these special movie moments for the future, you need to digitise them. In digital format, they can easily be viewed, shared, edited, copied and backed up. I can transfer VHS, Betamax, VHS-C,  MiniDV, Digital8, Hi8, Video8, MicroMV, DVDs, Bluray disks, MiniDVD and Silent 8mm/Super8 cine to high-quality MP4 files on a USB stick that will last generations. You only pay for actual recorded footage and not for any media that turns out to be blank or only contains TV recordings (there is no charge for checking).  Additional USB copies are also available at the time of ordering, which make wonderful presents for family & friends.

Old audio media is aging the worst with many home burned disks now corrupt or unreadable. If you have precious audio recordings on casettes, reels or disks, you need to get them digitised as soon as possible. Again, like video digitisation, once they are converted to MP3, they can easily be listened to, shared, edited, copied and backed up. I can transfer 4-track 1/4" domestic reel-to-reel, CDs, Music CDs, compact cassettes, music cassettes and mini/micro Dictaphone tapes. I also have a very high success rate with recovering data loss from corrupt disks so don't bin them as lost memories until you've spoken to me! 

Slides and negatives can't be enjoyed on their own without lots of old projector equipment so usually stay stored away in albums . I can unlock those memories and scan them  to very high quality (4800dpi) JPEG files which can then be enjoyed & shared on all types of modern devices and even printed off, blown up and printed onto canvasses.  I scan all types & sizes of slides & negatives, including more unusual types like Disk Film, glass mounted slides & APS/Advantix cartridges.

Old paper photos are nostalgically wonderful to look through but fade, rip and deteriorate, plus are impossible to edit or share with others.  I can scan all your photos to high quality JPEG files - each one is individually scanned to the optimum highest resolution level (600dpi) and then basic corrective software is applied post-scan which helps with dust, colour, grain & noise imperfections.  Each image is then cropped and rotated so they come ready to enjoy.
